WACO, Texas (Sept. 6, 2011) – Traditionally hurricanes bring a lot of rain, as well as a storm surge. These large amounts of water can cause a significant amount of damage to electrical equipment throughout your home or business.

WACO, Texas (June 29, 2011) – With summer coming into full swing after a cool spring, it’s a dreadful time of year to open the electric bill.

Not so fast. There are plenty of ways keep costs down – as well as the temperature. There are, of course, the traditional tips: turn your fans off during the day, be sure to turn off your lights, use windows to provide circulation. Your mother could have told you this. But there are other techniques out there – not just the ones your mother used.

(PLAINFIELD, IN – JULY 19, 2010) Local entrepreneur Sammie Bracken sees his job as more than just volts and watts – he also enjoys doing a wide variety of jobs and dealing with the diverse customer base he serves every day.

Bracken is the Branch Manager of Mr. Electric® of Central Indiana.

Mr. Electric is teaming up with the Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI) to help promote electrical safety during National Electrical Safety Month this May by increasing employee awareness of the electrical hazards that may exist in an office setting.

The modern office environment has changed dramatically in recent years as a result of new office technologies and an increased reliance on electrical equipment. Improper use of this workplace equipment can cause serious electrical shock and burn injuries.

From game consoles to computers to cell phones, electricity is an increasing presence in our modern lives. More electricity usage means more potential electrical hazards. As our reliance on electricity grows, so does the importance of electrical safety awareness for the entire family. You are never too young to start learning to use electricity safely.
